A small price to pay for finding yourself.

Whoever, and whenever, and wherever you're at in life. We like to say our target demographic age is 18-80, whether you're just starting out your journey in life, want to chuck the 9-5 desk job and pivot to something that demands a lot of excellence and  sweat, or have retired and are looking to get your hands dirty again in some meaningful (elbow) grease, or dive into some deep thoughts and use big words with impunity, we're open to everyone.

Tuition for the twelve-month Old's Cool program (starting July 1st and January 1st) is $12,000. The six-month internship will pay a minimum of $500/week, which will equal at least $12,500, so the educational investment is essentially a net-zero financial proposition, with an almost unimaginable ROI, mentality-wise. Actually the ROI is measurable: it's a positive ripple in the fabric of the universe.

Eat, sleep, drink, and breath the classical education is the only way to go, in our opinion, and we have an in-house "dormitory" for our students to live the Old's Cool life. Room/Board is an additional $6000 ($500/week) for the year, and the shop materials and tool kit cost, outlined below, is an additional $1250, making the total cost of the Old's Cool Academy game-changing program $19,250.

SPECIAL SUMMER SESSION: Tuition for the eight-week summer intensive (July 1–September 1) is $4750, total, and will include the 40 days of school, in addition to a hot lunch every day, as well as the course/shop materials and tool kit. Room/board is also included as part of this special summer program package.

The course materials includes: The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People; Liar’s Poker; The Prince; Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Frankenstein, Empire of the Sun, Lord of the Flies, West with the Night; The Iliad, Moby Dick; The Gulag Archipelago; and The Road to Serfdom.

Also: a leather-bound notebook; the fantastic Pilot Metropolitan Fountain pen with ink, one pack of Ticonderoga #2 pencils, and an eraser and pencil sharpener.

Each student will also receive an Old’s Cool polo and an Old’s Cool Academy tie.

The cost for "Course Materials and Clobber" is $500.

Old's Cool Tool Kit includes Old’s Cool coveralls, gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs and tool bag, which the students will make themselves. It'll be filled with numerous essential tools starting with our old's cool pal Tim  Leatherman's Sidekick or Wingman.
Shop materials include boat building and car restoration supplies, parts, and paint.

Tool Kit and Shop Materials fee is: $750. Elbow grease is extra.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Academy's education is a significant (and wondrous) investment in any student's wider and wilder worldview. Our goal is to make this opportunity available to anyone who has the ways but not necessarily the means to embrace their own unlimited potential.

No student who qualifies for our program will be turned away because of financial hardship.

Donations are always welcome.

Have a beautiful old boat or classic vintage car that you know by now you're never going to get to, but still want to see someone young and gung-ho sailing on the main, or flying hell-bent down the highway, happy?

What about a lifetime of skill and experience, an honest career of honed craftsmanship and passion you'd like to share, pass on to another generation, eager and patient for the knowledge that only you can give?

We welcome anything you'd like to contribute that will help us offer a more rounded, unbounded, wonderful-worldly experience to our students and the community we've created.

We're eternally grateful for all the support and kindness we've received so far–The Academy wouldn't be here without your generosity and largesse. To be good stewards of this responsibility and trust, we work hard every day to pay this kindness and hard-won wisdom forward, in imaginative and meaningful ways.

Old's Cool Academy is a 501 (3) (c) corporation–if you'd like to make a donation of any size, kind, condition or currency, please contact us on (401) 572-7090, or: info@oldscoolacademy.com.
